Above fees due at time of application. There may be a required residential deposit‚ which usually runs $50.00 if local access only and $90.00 if long distance capable. CVTC will waive deposit requirement if customer has a letter from another utility showing good pay history or have had previous service with CVTC‚ which reflects good pay history. If location where requesting phone service has not had service for quite some time or you’ve recently built a new home/structure, a required $52.00 premise visit charge will apply.

Pursuant to the Telecommunictations Act of 1996 and in accordance with the FCC Rule 54.401(d) (2), Copper Valley Telephone Cooperative Inc. (CVTC) herein provides the following information regarding its universal services offerings:
CVTC offers single party local service on a flat rate basis (unlimited local calling) at a rate of $13.45 per month for Residential Service and $19.60 per month for Business Simple Service. Included with the local charges above, Touch Tone dialing is available to all customers.
Local emergency service may be reached by dialing “9-1-1.”
Long distance, operator service and directory assistance are available through interexchange carriers, many of whom have advertisements in the Yellow Pages. Rates for these services can be obtained by contacting the various long distance providers.
CVTC offers toll restriction services.
CVTC offers to qualifying low income residential customers Lifeline and Link up programs. Services are at the following rates:
- Residence one party service $1.00
- Toll restriction service is offered without a charge
- Lifeline customers who voluntarily elect toll restrictions will not be required to pay a deposit in order to initiate Lifeline service.
- Installation charges are at reduced rates depending upon the customers’ individual circumstances.
